What this website measures, and what the integration does not.

This page exists in English only. Last updated 2026-09-27.

The short version

This website counts visits so that its author knows whether anyone is reading it. It sets no cookies, asks for nothing and has no way to identify you. The NeverDry Calibrator integration itself, the thing that calibrates your probe, sends nothing anywhere: it runs inside your own Home Assistant and has no server to phone home to.

What this website collects

Page visits are counted with Vemetric, a European analytics service. The script that does the counting is served from this site rather than from the vendor's content delivery network, so loading a page does not by itself announce you to anyone else. When it records a visit it sends an event to hub.vemetric.com, and at that moment that service does see the IP address your browser is connecting from.

Third parties your browser contacts

A page that loads something from somebody else's server hands that server your IP address, whether or not anything is written down. These are all of them on this site:

Nothing else is loaded from anywhere else: the fonts are the ones already on your device and no video, map or screenshot is embedded.

What the integration does with your data

This is the part most people are actually asking about. NeverDry Calibrator is an integration that runs inside your Home Assistant installation. It reads the probe and the water deficit you point it at, stores the samples it admits, and writes its own state back into Home Assistant. Those samples are the whole history of your soil and they never leave your machine: there is no backend, no telemetry and no update channel of its own. The author has no way of seeing any of it, not even in aggregate.

Two exceptions worth naming, and both are things you choose to do. A diagnostics download contains your configuration, every collected sample and every refusal, and you are the one who sends it, to a GitHub issue you can read before posting. The same is true of a field report: this project asks people to say how a calibration went, and whatever you decide to put in that post is public because you posted it.

Who is responsible, and how to reach them

NeverDry Calibrator is a free, open-source hobby project maintained by drake69. Questions about this page, or a request to have something clarified or removed, are best raised in the project's GitHub Discussions or as a GitHub issue, both of which are read by the maintainer.
